30DD: Future - Dash and Roman

"Don't you see a future with us Rome?" Dash said thoughtfully, kicking his feet up on the lunch table. Roman almost spat her juice out, her normally composed face slack-jawed as she turned to look at the mostly unwelcome boy sitting next to her.

"What?" she said, blinking grey eyes at him.

"I'm serious." he shrugged, "I'm probably your like, only friend here, I'm a guy, you're a girl, stuff could happen!"

"Did it ever occur to you that I don't like boys?" she said darkly, mopping up the slight mess on the table. Dash raised an eyebrow and his grin widened.

"Do you?"

"I don't know," she sighed, "Does it matter?"

"Well, do you like me?"

"I'm not answering that Dashiell."

He groaned, leaning back with a sigh. "Don't call me that,"

"It's your name, isn't it?" she muttered, turning back to her salad. "And while we're at it, don't call me Rome."

"But it's pretty!" Dash said, looking at her out of the corner of his eye. "Anyway Rome, would you ever date me?"

"Not if we were the last people on the planet."
