Meet Yourself - Addy and Alec

Addy looked up at her male counterpart, who'd happily introduced himself as Alec. He was taller then she was, by a fair bit, and had a guitar strapped to his back.

"You play guitar?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"A bit yeah, Marc taught me. Said it was dishonourable for a son of Apollo not to play any sort of instrument." Alec snorted, then looked down at her. "Do you play any music?"

"I can barely read music," she admitted, fiddling with the edge of her t-shirt. "Marcie's tried to teach me, but nothing's really stuck. We tried writing poetry, but...well it was a disaster."

Alec nodded seriously, understanding written plainly on his kind face. "I will never again write poetry. I think I had a vision from Dad telling me that haikus were my calling. That's the day I decided to pursue music."

"I happen to excel at archery though." Addy grinned, fingering her hair clips. Alec's face burst into a grin.

"Ditto. And...are you with uh...Kali the guy?" he asked, gesturing to the Hawaiians, who were flashing them identical toothy grins. Both blondes blushed bright red and waved back.

"Kai, yeah, he's my boyfriend. He grew me a tree." she sighed. "It's still out on the beach."

"Kali did the same. She passed out though," Alec added, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Kai did too, and it was the sweetest thing anyone's ever done." Addy smiled. "Does she ever talk to her plants?"

"Only all the time. They've all got names," he snorted, shaking his blonde head. Addy brushed her bangs out of her face with a grin. Alec turned his gaze to where Marcie and Marc were speaking rapidly in French, gesturing widely. "So, uh, Marcie failed at teaching you music? What if you learned from yourself?"

"Can't hurt to try one more time." Addy decided, and led him to the steps of the Apollo cabin, where he handed her his guitar.

"After this, you can serenade Kai. Kali likes it when I sing to her." he admitted quietly. Addy grinned and experimentally strummed the guitar.

"We'll see how much Kai likes hearing a dying fish."

"What?"
